The pose in this piece was not random. It was selected because it, along with the action, was something absolutely unimaginable for myself to share. It elicits all of the uncomfortable feelings I seek to explore through my art making. That which is natural, normal, and necessary is also visually verboten and closeted, and challenges our sense of social propriety.
