The inner rectangle, within, represents a door to one’s thoughts. The cutting is not an act of violence; it is a state of mind.  It is all too common to be lost-and become quagmired in thoughts about all the things we wish to change about our bodies and selves. This hidden state of discontent is what Daydreams attempts to capture.
